After posting about redlining by insurance companies, based on family history or genetic testing results, I researched on....

This is now in the PAST!!!

There is a new law, GINA (Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act) that makes not only this illegal, but also an employer firing a person based on these results!!!!

YEA YEA YEA YEA!!!!

I am breathing a sigh of relief!!!

Hugs, Kathi

    Yay!
That is wonderful news! I was afraid that if my husband lost his job, I would become uninsurable. It is such a relief!

    thanks for the info!
I am sure a lot of people are releasing a sign of relief! There are SO many ways we are being discriminated against as far as health insurance already, good to know they can't discriminate before anything even rears it's ugly cancer head!
