Good thoughts for your upcoming CT
Scanxiety for sure! And I don't think it ever goes away! The CTs don't bother me too much, but I have to take Ativan to handle the PET! At least with the CT they let you drink that "yummy?" banana smoothy! Friday will be over and done with before you know it! God be with you

Good luck!
Chip,
Wishing you the very best on Friday. You know all of us understand things like "scanxiety." Excellent word! And isn't it amazing how alone you can feel when you're doing something like that? I'm very short, and I feel like a small child when I'm having any procedures.
Let us know!
*Hugs*

Love the term scanxiety - I think I have testxiety
I know how you fell - I don't mind the scan itself or the yucky drink - but the waiting for results??? Then you are all alone, listening to everyone say "I am sure they will be fine."
I have a cea test in three weeks after an odd results last time and then a scan. I have scan/testxiety - even now.
I hope your results are great! You may be alone in the machine (with the odd computerized voice), but you are not alone here - everyone knows how it feels and prays for the best. Remember you are only in the machine for 7 minutes. Do you ever wonder who did the recording for the voice that tells you to hold your breath and then breathe. Imagine what their resume looks like.

SCANXIETY
I understand scanxiety---and I'm not even the one who gets the scans! I start worrying about a 2 weeks before my husband gets his scans and non stop until we get the results. I hope you can move on to brighter thoughts and get past Friday. I wish you the best of luck and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers for a great report!
