My husband and I spent our 26th wedding anniversary at the Poconos (24-28 Sept 08) and had a WONDERFUL TIME. We ate and ate and ate way too much. Relaxed, cuddled, and played some couples games. We won the 8 ball pool tournament and didn't do so well with the "guess who" pictures of celebrties and sports figures. My brain could not work that fast
Met a very nice couple from Boston, MA that has 6 kids. Oh my gosh, 6 kids, I cannot even guess how busy her house is on a daily basis.
I know what comes to everyone's mind first when you say going to the Poconos, because it is the place for LOVE, but there are a lot of other things to do like,
Wine tasting tours
White water rafting
Canoeing
Stock car riding / racing
Outlet store shopping
Water skiing
Row boating
Paddle boating
Golfing
etc.,
We also had a couples massage. THIS IS A MUST for anyone. My husband was a little hesitant, but he even said it was really relaxing. Afterwards we both wanted to take a nap. There was a fireplace, so we had a fire and relaxed one evening.
Coming from someone who has been going to the Poconos with her hubby for several years. it is a VERY NICE place for couples who want alone time and some relaxing fun where you become the kids.
