Advice needed:Gas buildup

Hello,it's the 1st time am accessing this site and it looks really nice.I badly need some advice,please help.My dad was operated upon 2 yrs back coz doctors suspected beginning of colorectal cancer.Since then he's been doin chemeo and he was alrite.But since the last 3 mths,his food is not gettin digested at all,he's vomittin constantly and he has lost so much weight!He's gettin so much pain in his stomach!And he's sufferin from constipation since his colostomy bag is empty.Please help,we dont have latest medicines here.Do u have sponsored programs which treat patients free of charge?Maryam,Mauritius

    I am sorry your dad is expiencing such problems,,are you in the United States?
    I WOULD CALL HIS SURGEON WITH THE PROBLEM IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY, ALSO THERE ARE MANY PLACES OF ASSISTANCE YOU CAN GET IN TOUCH WITH ABOUT THE FINANCIAL NETWORK.
    ADDRESS HIS SURGEON ABOUT THIS SITUATION,,,then contact The American Cancer Society about how to deal with the financial part...let me know how it goes!! Gene

    Hi Gene,unfortunately we are not citizens of the US.We've already talked with dad's doc here but the treatment available in our country is basic.That's y i've contacted u people..Meds here are pretty restrictd 2.Can u refer dad's case 2 a doc?Thanks,Maryam

    I would call the American Cancer Society and present my case and ask them for help and available resources. There are several cancer centers here in the US that are quire good that you could also contact:

    Sloan-Kettering
    MD Anderson
    John Hopkins
    Mayo Clinic

    Yes monica,we've taken him
    Yes monica,we've taken him there and they've removed the gas by means of tubes.But 1 day after,once home,the gas builds up again!Dad is really tired now.Docs say they'll have 2 operate but they cant since dad has jst done chemeo.Please help
