LYMPHEDEMA

Hello Everyone RE here. I have lymphedema to the left arm and hand and recently have had new problems. In the last eight months I have had a rash on the same side of my body and biopsy cannot determine what it is. Very recently my breast turned very red and itchy which lasted ten days. I ended up applying aloe from a plant (which helped the itch) and taking antibiotics as well as applying a cream which has subdued it. I have been assured it is not IBC (however I FREAK each time it shows up). I am looking to see if anyone with Lymphedema has had a similar expierience.

    lymphedema
I have had LD in my right arm and right chest area for 5 years due to radiation following breast cancer. I have had to be treated 2 times for cellulitis in that area. High fever, very red and then strong antibiotics. You might try to see a disease control specialist. It sounds like you could be having some cellulitis. Have you had a fever?
    God bless!

I too have had surgery and 16 weeks of rads due to bc so it is quite possible that this may be what my problem is. I have had a light fever with it and just plain do not feel well during the time the redness is present. I will bring this to my doctors attention as I do not think she is connecting it to the lymphedema. Thank you for your insight.
