Hi everyone, I just realized that I don't think I did a final update on my recent ovarian cancer scare. Anyway, when I saw the surgeon, he did an exam and had trouble feeling the "mass" so he did an ultrasound. Turns out it had shrunk 8 cms in just 2 days! Definitely a cyst. He then raised concern about my thickened uterine lining and suggested a D&C with biopsy. Well, compared to the other, this wasn't too upsetting. I just saw my gyn. yesterday and he did an ultrasound that showed the cyst is gone. He can't explain the estrogen surge or cyst(esp. since I am now premenopausal but not menstrating for 2yrs). He also said contrary to the radiologist and surgeon, he would like to wait and monitor my lining at this time. Yea! No procedures for now at least---phew!. Besides being a little bitter about part of my summer being ruined, and being (still) a bit anxious, exhausted and depressed in the aftermath, I feel relieved. It will be good to start school soon and see my kids again. That will keep me busy. I think I am much more emotionally health during the school year when I am busy-----less time to think about things. But thank you all again for your incredible support. I love you girls and guy!!! Love, Eileen
