Thanks again for your input on what to say. I asked the Dr. directly, "what answer would you give to someone who asked you if I am done, or cancer-free?" He said, "you are in remission, you do not have cancer." I was pleasantly surprised that he gave me such a plain answer. He is very knowledgeable, but normally very cautious about making direct statements. So, I will say that I am cancer free, unless the conversation necessitates getting into the detailed explanation about no guarantees, and all that.

Thanks again for all your support. seof

You made me laugh, seof!!! So...you asked someome who TREATS cancer, rather than going by what those of us who have HAD cancer say??? LOL LOL

I am still saying ( in case anyone should ask...and I hope they never do) I HAD cancer. Cuz 5 years ago I did...and today I don't! :-)

    Hugs,
    Claudia
