Dear Stardust:
Both of the individuals you mention may have had agressive cancers that chemo was unable to cure. I know many people that have had chemo 2, 3 or 4 times with success each time. Many times, if a cancer is resistant to one type of chemo drug another drug will work just fine in getting rid of the tumor.

Stardust,
Everyone has a story and everyone is different. Take what you hear with a grain of salt. Yes, many people die from their cancers after chemo, but many are cured. I know people who have had chemo 3 times and are still here to talk about it. So don't let these stories get you down.
