Night production of urine

Went to PCP in late 06 because of frequent night trips to toilet. Started Lupron Depot 3 month shots after May 07 biopsy. Two months beam radiation treatment Sept/Oct 07. Still have about 2.5 times urine production during naps & night time with respect to day time. Have two more years of Lupron Depot shots. Any one else have this increased night urine production? I have not been able to get good deep consistant sleep. If I drink 2 liters (8 glasses) or more of water during the day, I'm up every 1 to 2 hrs at night. At night the bladder holds 300 cc/time. During day time, I get about 150 cc/time every 3 to 4 hours.

My PCP prescribed TEMAZEPAM 30 mg sleep aid. Only works 1 to 2 times/week. When I take the sleep aid, only up at night 2 times over 7 to 8 hrs. The amount of urine/time is also reduced. Does anyone know why?

    JoeMac,
Haven't had Lupron, but after my LRP 2 years ago, I have been incontinent. If I drink a few glasses of anything after six o'clock at night. I am going every hour or 2. I know we have had different treatments, just thought I would let you know that I'm going through the same thing. I probably will start collagen injections in Aug, however, I'm yet to find anyone on this site who really could tell me if their shots were a success.

    Aloha lion1,
You could try searching www.yananow.net. I have no experience with collagen injections. Timing of water in does not make much difference in my night toilet trips. You can only go so long with out drinking water.

I had my prostate removed on July 31, 2007 and have had no rise in PSA for one year now. I just resently started getting up three to four times a night. I'm going to see my urologist at Yale New Haven tomorrow I'll let you guys know how I make out.

    Aloha,
At this time, I do not feel that I have a urological problem. My PCP is at a loss to explain what is happening and has refered me to a kidney doc. I have kept water IN-OUT logs a couple of times over 4 to 5 days. It appears that I produce 2 to 5 times as much urine at night/nap than when I'm up. Have had many tests, procedures & treatments. Just does not appear to have anything to do with urology. I get up because my bladder is full, not because there is a bladder control problem.
If you do not get answers from your urologist, try a kidney doc.

So, you're not dealing with an incontinence problem?? This is just a constant urge to urinate at night?

    Thanks.

    Aloha Lion1,
No, it is not a constant urge.
My bladder capacity is 250 to 280 cc. Max recorded is 325 cc. It appears from ultra sound that I am voiding completely. During the day I go 3 to 4 times, and at night, I go 4 to 5 times (10 pm to 6 am). I take 1 to two naps to make up on the sleep. I am taking a sleep aid, but it is only effective 1 to 2 times per week. During the day I get 75 to 150 cc each time. At night I get 200 to 300 cc each time. With the sleep aid, am only up 1 to 2 times, so urine production is definately affected.
