Greetings all...
Here's my story, white male, 46 years old, married with one kid. On Dec 04 dx w/crc and liver mets. Jan 05 started chemo, folfox, w/in 3 doses the 3 spots on liver seemingly disappeared. May 05, had colon resection. End of July thru August finished chemo and 5wks of radiation. Oct 05, declared NED. Feb 06,(1)lesion on liver reappeared. March 06, had open liver surgery and cryo-ablation. Fast forward to Oct 07, cryo ablated lesion reappears! Open liver surgery again, this time surgeon does right lobectomy, Feb 08, CT/PET scan says I'm clean! May 28th, 2008, CT scan says NED.
Here's my message, no matter where you are in the process, things can get better and I'm living proof!
