help!A family member 4 months ago was diafnonsed with glioblastoma multiforme. Sense of smell and taste were lost for a short period of time. Heachaches for only two weeks and none since January.A biopsy was done the end of January but came back inconclusive.MRI with and without enhancement showed a butterfly lesion across the left and right frontal lobes.Dr.s said radiation and chemo needed to be started immediately. They were started on Temador and 7 weeks of radiation. It was been 1 month since treatment ended. 6 mgs of decadron a day has bloated the face and stomach while losing muscles in the legs. They are able to walk around, clean up, dress ect. With a biopsy being inconclusive it is now my concern now that no other symptoms are present if this LESION was misdiagosed and it is not a glioblastoma multiforme. It is not important what was but it is important what is ahead, we were told 3 month with an additional 3 months if chemo and radiation were done. There is no decrease nerologically or otherwise and no definate proof from test just the mri that showed a butterfly lesion. Does that always mean cancer?
