Picking your brain...CRC forum....
I have thought about including a brown ribbon bracelet (yes, they DO exist...). What else do you think would be useful?
Thanks in advance for all of your ideas!

Hi, I live in Sacramento Calif. Diagnosed 4/08 colon cancer stage 3. Where is your panel being held and is it open to the public?

Hi Kathi,
This reminded me of something a friend did for me while I was in treatment. She called it a "blue bag" and said whenever I felt "blue" to open up a present from the bag. She wrapped everthing in different combinations of blue wrapping paper and blue ribbon and put the gifts in of course a "blue bag". It was things such as a box of green tea bags, a pair of cloth house shoes, a survivors bracelet, playing cards, little ink pens and paper, greeting cards, Mary Kay samples of eye shadow, fingernail polish, all kinds of little things that would make my day a little brighter. Hope this helps. Thanks for what you are doing.

Well, It's in Sacramento, Ca (Yes, really!), and it is a public forum. I am a board member of a group called the California Colorectal Cancer Coalition (C4, for short). We are health care workers, doctors, survivors. MANY 'movers and shakers'. I will keep you posted, but you will also hear about it as the time nears!vchildbeloved said:Hi, I live in Sacramento Calif. Thank you so much!!!! What a fantastic idea!! I'm not sure how many survivors they will plan on, but I wouldn't mind wrapping little things together!

Mmmmmm....Great idea! I know a friend with thyroid cancer who kept a ready supply of lemon drops! Thanks for the idea!tootsie1 said:I have not had chemo, but does something like hard candy help with nausea? That might be good, if I'm not just making that up in my mind. *winks*

Hey! How about the books, "If the Battle is Over, Why am I Still in Uniform?" or "I'd Like to Buy A Bowel Please!", by Brenda Elsagher.unknown said:This comment has been removed by the Moderator
Check out her website at www.livingandlaughing.com
I'm sure if you ordered several books, she would be happy to autograph them for you.
Good stuff...0
