Hi,
For all the newbies who don't know me. DX in 2003 with StageIV colon cancer. Surgery, colostomy which was reversed successfully after 18mos. Folfox regimine with fanny pack 24 hrs a day for 6 wks, along with radiation. Then 6 mos of chemo oxillaplatin, 5FU, leucovorin. I have been in remission since 2004. Just had my PET/CT last week, and saw my onc today. She said NED. I don't have to see her again till next year at this time, and she said no need for a PET every year, only a CAT scan, as long as my numbers stay like they are now. And, will only have my CEA, and CA125 every 6 mos with my blood work. She said I am doing great. I hope this gives somebody some hope, NEVER EVER give up.. things didn't look very promising for me in the beginning... but.. I kept up the faith, and the fight, and I am still here. I guess God has a bigger plan for me someplace, sometime. But for today I am doing that naked happy dance with NED, and loving every minute of every day. Good luck to everyone battling this beast, and God bless all of us.
