Taking Your Hormone Drugs

Hi Ladies, I was prescribed Evista because I was very progesterone receptive. I got the prescription about a month ago and was supposed to start taking it after the radiation. Since my finances are not good right now, and I don't seem to be getting any public assistance, I have not got it filled yet. Will this delay in starting it make a significant dent in my fight against the beast? Or will delaying it by a month or so increase the chance of the beast getting a foothold again. Hugs, Cindy

Cindy, contact ACS and see if they can help financially. I'm not familiar with meds since I just got started on chemo myself but I think that if ACS can't help maybe they can direct you someplace so you don't delay your treatment. Best of luck and lots of hugs

Also try contacting the manufacturer on help with the meds. Sometimes they can give them free or very reasonable.

I agree with the other ladies about who to contact, talk you your Dr. or facility where you get treated, maybe they could suggest financial resources. Talk to the Dr. about the risks of delay, he/she is the one who knows you best.

    Best wishes, seof
