6th month check up

I just had my 6th month check up and they found cyst on my ovaries. I'm now going back to a gyn at Roswell to see if they disperse (sp). I felt great after the check up my dr said that it isn't cancer. They just don't want to leave any stone unturn. That was Monday and now I'm sitting here thinking the worst. What if it is cancer. Sometimes it is so hard to think positive with this disease. Well I go Thursday and see what the gyn dr thinks. My onc thinks it hormone change and I'm getting pushed into menopause. Great just what I need now is hot flashes. I was wondering if anyone has any opinion on this.
When I talk to my family they just tell me not to worry. Well that is easier said then done. Thanks Michelle

I've never had cancer - yet my doctor 4 years ago told me there was "something that shouldn't be there".
I went for all the scans and was told it was "a cyst"
For years I worried.
Then I went to see a new doctor.
He explained that cysts are NORMAL!!!!
They go away with every cyle.
They have NOTHING to do with hot flashes.
(they better not!!! - I'm 380 -
Years ago, way before my experiences with cancer, my gyn said "well, we've found a cyst that is abnormally large on your ovary. You have 2 options: surgery to see what it is, or wait 6 weeks and scan again". That was the longest 6 weeks (I waited...lol), but when they did the scan again, lo and behold! the cyst had moved to the other ovary...it was an ovulation cyst...normal as the sky above...
I know it's hard not to worry, but try to take comfort from my experience, if you can...

It is easy to think the worst. Try to focus on what the doctor said about it not being cancer. Be glad that the doctors are being thorough. You will feel much better and will be ready for a celebration when you get the all clear---hopefully by the end of the week. My thoughts and prayers are with you---the waiting is always hard!

They found an ovarian cyst when I had my scans done after chemo and radiation, they followed it up with a pelvic ulstrasound. My oncologist said and so did my gynocologist - it is just a cyst. They expect it to be gone before my next scan. Ovarian cysts are really common they come and go. I think mine will go and so will yours.0
