hello there,
My hubby had prostate cancer at age 45. Then PSA increased and he had radiation. He is now suffering from radiation damage and has a very low quality of life and lives in pain 24/7. I don't know what to say to anyone, as it's never good news. Living, loving, hoping, one day at a time. It's been 5 1/2 years now. Hope to meet some new friends here!

Hi,My name is Debbie. My boyfriend of which I live with has stage 4 lung with met to bone. I know all to well how you are feeling. He too is suffering with pain. When he is not in pain he is not himself due to the pain meds. This is the hardest thing ever to watch but there is nowhere else I would want to be than right here with him.If you would like you could send me an email to dscott.I hope things get better for you...Debbie0

Hello,
I also know how you feel. My husband was diagnosed Stage IV colon cancer 10/04. The first 9 months was chemo every other week and he would go home with the chemo and go back in 2 days to get disconnected. We thought he was NED, but his pain returned in 2 weeks and it took 3 months to find the reoccurence in his chest and abdomen. We have been going to weekly chemo since 10/05. My husband is also managing pain with meds. At times it becomes uncontrollable and we end up in the hospital. It is difficult watching him suffer, but the pain clinic we go to has been a blessing for us. I work full time, but can adjust my schedule-another blessing. I explain to people it is like living in a parallel universe. We are doing well - it is just different than before cancer. We too hope and pray to remain stable until the next "cure" shows up.
You have been a caregiver for a long time. It is difficult when the "roles" we play begin to change and just keeping it all together. You and your husband are in my thoughts and prayers.
