I'd like to know some "good" meds for Thrush. (i've read them before, on here, but forget)

My Mom has it and when I had it, they gave me a mouth wash (Prevention)which was okay, but her's is worse than mine.

Thanks All
Claudia

    Hi Claudia,
When I had thrush from chemo I used 1/4 teaspoon baking soda in about a 1/2 cup of warm water. Swish and spit couple times a day. Hope this works for her. Send me that granola recipe when you get a chance.
    Love, Robin

If the baking soda doesn't work (sometimes fungal infections won't respond) have the doc get Nystatin liquid. All you do is rinse and hold a teaspoon in the back of the mouth, then swallow it. Mine cleared up in about 5 days with this and hasn't come back.
    Good luck - Kathy M

Hi. I got a lozenge to suck on a few times a day. Unfortunately, I was very sensitive to taste and stuff in my mouth (nausea) so I didn't do it as often as I should. When I could tolerate them, it cleared right up in a few days.
