Hey, here is some great news.
Tomorrow will be my 1 year anniversary

Anniversary of what you ask (in hushed tones while leaning in)?

Well one year ago I had just finished chemotherapy and radiation treatments a few weeks earlier, on this day undergone a lower anterior resection to remove my rectum, ushered in the use of a temporary ileostomy that followed me around for 9 months and most of all I found my new friend NED.

Now after quite a few months of adjuvant chemo and an ileostomy reversal, I'm back to work, loving life with my kids and taking on each day with vigor.

So to those of you who are new to this journey, remember it is just that; a journey to be taken one day at a time. Just one cherished day at a time.

There is hope!

Cheers to you all.
