Any referals to AVASTIN for OVCA?

Does anyone know someone who has taken Avastin for OVCA and how it has gone? Better yet Avastin combined with Genoxal? Thanks. Liz

    Hi Liz, I have taken the Avastin with positive results. I know others that have been on it and it didn't work. It's like all the drugs out there ~ its kind of crapshoot. I took it with it cytoxan though and another woman I know who is on it now is getting it with gemzar and it is working. She is getting compassionate use for it from the drug company as her insurance won't pay for it.

    I pray this is the treatment that gives your mom a remission.

    Thanks Bonnie... did the Avastin give you a remission? My Mom's last remission was only 4 months, I do hope this gives her more quality time. I`ve heard Avastin is not really approved for OVCA use. By the way do you think we could also get compassionate help from the drug company as my Mom doesn't even have any inssurance and is 76 yo... could you find out who she spoke with? Thank you so much.
