Ladies, I just want to thank all of you who come to this site. You give to me so much. You give me a place to be heard, a place to be understood, and a place that feels like home. For all of those things I am eternally grateful.
However, the thing I am most grateful for is the inspiration you all give me. You inspire me to be a stronger person, a stronger survivor.
I RELAY!!!!! I relay for each and ever one of you. And you each inspire me to be more committed to Relay. Thank you all. My thoughts, my prayers, my encouragement, and all my love goes to each of you.
Thanks,
Steph

Steph,
Thanks so much for that comment...your also a part of this board so your also an inspration!!! I'm thinking aout doing the relay as well, but I'll still be on chemo at that time..and I live in FL,so the temps could be really hot and humid by then..so I'm just kicking it around right now, trying to decide on what I think I can do..and do well!! (((hugz))~~~Joanne0 -
Thank you, Steph for your kind words. Amazing how it comes first circle, isn't it? Picture this: Steph helps Monika who helps Bonnie who helps Kellie who helps JoAnn who helps Saundra, who helps Bonnie who helps Monika! Well, I know you get the picture. Kind of a silly analogy, but that's the way I see it. We are all here for eachother, yet we receive blessings also in the whole process!
I'm checking into relays in my area. It would be my first, and I've wanted to participate for a long time. So, thank you for your participation!
Lots of Hugs!

Thanks Steph, I am so glad you Relay, I've been involved in the Relay for Life for 4 years now and the past two years have been the Team Captain of our church's relay for life team "Grace Walkers".
To those who can't be on team, I encourage you to at least go to the survivor's walk and see the luminaries. It is truely an awesome experience.
To find one in your area go here http://www.cancer.org/docroot/par/content/PAR_1_Relay_For_Life.asp and put in your zip code and find the ones that are close to you.
Everyone does make a difference! Hugs Bonnie
PS Monika I loved what you said, and you are so right its a domino affect. :-)0 -
Steph-
I was co-captain for a Relay team two years in a row a few years back as I had a couple of friends who had been through cancer. I haven't been involved the past two years and now that I've been diagnosed with OVCA I am going to be on my church relay team so I can walk up that huge hill here in my town during the survivor walk. What an emotional time that will be.
Keep up the good work girl! Take care. Kris0
