Mammosite

I wrote yesterday about brachytherapy. Mammosite is a form of this. I have had a few responses. If anyone has had experience with Mammosite, I would love to hear about this as an alternative to traditional radiation. Thanks.

    Have you thought about calling 1-800-ACS-2345 (American Cancer Society)? I'll bet they have a list of resources...people who have been there/done that...part of a program called 'Reach to Recovery' (I know about it because I participate in this). It is a network of breast cancer survivors who help the 'newbies' thru.
    I will call my oncologist on Monday and see if she has anyone...

    Some Doctors/hospitals have lists of patients who don't mind being contacted. You might see about that at your facility. The ACS "reach for recovery is helpful too.
