It was a long week but a great experience from the moment u walk in....Like I mentioned before they will even pay for hotel and travel expenses.
For the ones that are asking what's the difference, here's some interesting points....
Body, Mind, Spirit and religion support ( if asked) are defenitly part of the treatment. Before I go into details here's 1 thing that I found out.....What I will be doing now is exactly what I did the first time around when I was a whole year in remission. Bunch of antioxidants, bunch of strawberries, gallons of green tea, bunch of nuts......and prayers 8 out of 24 hours a day....and I may not be exagerating... I remember telling my husband 3 years ago that the only thing that I did was pray....pray...pray... And please forgive me for the ones that do not like to talk about religion....I am just telling my story .....
I got some prescriptions by the Dr and I also saw a psycologist and a chaplin..I will see a psyquiatric ( sorry about the spelling ) next week.
Now...the questions that we always ask about nutrition....Red meat ? minimal...Sugar ???? Its just a rumor....but that doesn't mean that we should eat it like nothing will happens..refined sugar is just not healthy at all...so why eat it ? No nutritional benefits whatsoever, so avoid it anyways...they did say something that has common sense...if it feeds the bad cells..it also feeds the good one...and we need those good ones to kill the bad ones......Eating plenty of vegetables....juicing...lots of fruits and nuts and lots of antioxidants....Did I ask if I had a chance to survive ? NOPE.....cause they give u hope...just by talking...is'nt that what we need ?
Hope this help
God bless....

Thanks for the input. We go next week for a 2nd opinion. Husband was cancer free and in remission 3 1/2 years. They found a lymph node during regular checkups and it was taken out and now they want to do chemo. Chemo really wiped him out and we are looking for an alternative. I've had him a little over 50 years and an not finished with him yet. Thanks Again

Thanks for the info, dearheart! I have heard some great things about these centers.

I used the 3-way approach, myself, and it got me thru some pretty awful stuff....I was lucky, the first time around on each cancer wiped it out...

I'm so glad you have found this, please keep us posted!

    Hugs, Kathi

I am so happy to hear about your positive experience at CTCA. I have heard so many good things about them. They really do take the holistic approach to treating cancer patients. I wish the other major cancer centers would take this same approach. I don't know how others feel on this site about religion, but I personally believe that prayer DOES work and God DOES heal. Don't ever give up on him. He has so blessed me and my family. As always, prayers coming your way.

    God bless,
