was seen by my obgyn about all the symptoms i been having i told her i was worried about ovca and she brushed it off due to my age. i refused to leave until she examined me and she did. she said i fealt normal but she saw traces of blood in my rectal exam. when she palpatated my left ovary it hurt so bad it made me scream, she said it fealt normal tho. she did order me a pelvic and abd ct scan which she said if there were any problems they would show. she also did routine blood work, i asked about ca125 and she said not neccesary. she told me she thinks fibroids or something elese begnine but cant say until ct comes back so i get them on tues and i am so worried. ive been in so much pain in my left ovary area and back the last few months i just know it cant be anything good. she said the pain and my gastro symptoms of gas bloating and bouts of constipation are worrying tho which made me more nervous, i am 25 with two kids. i have looked at sites about endo and pcos and fibroids but none of those sound like what im experiencing. i guess i just wanted to vent and see if anyone heard of all these symptoms that ended up not being cancer, my back pains feal like labor sometimes and go into my legs. im so scared

I am glad that your doctor ordered the ct-scan. Hopefully, this will have some answers for you. Keep insisting on the tests until you get them because symptoms are pointing to something and sometimes we have to fight hard to get the answers. I learned the hard way and ended up in Stage 4 because of it. Hugs and prayers that you find the answers. Saundra0

Hi Tiffanyann,
I'm sorry to hear that you're still in pain, but I'm so proud of you for insisting on getting the exam and further testing!!! Good for you!!!
I was just talking to my hair dresser the other day about her mother-in-law who spent a full year going to doctors, trying to find out what's wrong with her, before she finally got diagnosed with ovca. My own doctor, also a female like yours, dismissed my symptoms initially as IBS, and felt really guilty about it when the ultrasound showed a large mass. Your age does make it less likely that you have ovca, but it does not rule it out, so you need to stay determined to get to the bottom of all this! I know it's hard not to think all those thoughts of "what if", but try not to get ahead of yourself with all the worrying! It sounds like you should know soon what's happening with your body, and there will be plenty of time for worrying later, IF you do get the feared diagnosis. In the mean time, focus your energy on making sure that your doc deals with your problem soon! Don't let her dismiss you and your pain! If the results don't show anything specific, you need to push harder for more testing!
Your in my thoughts, hoping for a good outcome!
Please keep in touch!

You're getting some really good advice. All you can do is wait it out and take it one step at a time. Make the best of each day - enjoy your children, husband, family, friends, hobbies, etc. Worrying won't change anything, and it sometimes creates more pain, discomfort, etc. You definitely are right to push for answers.
Hang in there, and let us know how things are going. We'll be waiting to hear!
Luv, hugs, prayers,

Tiffant, first of all I wish the outcome is possitive. Why is it that tou suspect OVCA, does it run in your family?
After having to experience this with my Mom, and she also was not heard by her Dr. until months passed and resulted in stage 3... I would go for a more definiste drastic test.. I would demand a PET CT which is the most accurate, although it is expenssive in case inssurance doesn't oay but this will tell you if there are active cells. My Mom has had CT Scan showing nothing when there has been cancer. I hope this helps. The best of luck. Liz0 -
Hi there - hopefully by now you have some answers from your doctor? If you are not happy with the treatment you are receiving, or if you doubt the diagnosis I would recommend that you get a second opinion. My first gynae diagnosed my cycst as benign, and just removed the one ovary with the cyst. Tests came back with it being an aggressive tumour. I changed gynaes - decided to go with a Gynae oncologist specialist, which was the best decision to make. Not that I am saying you have Ca, but you need to make sure you feel that you have the most definitive diagnosis possible. Your age does not exclude you - my specialist has had a 19yr old with OVca - which is scary stuff!
My only other advice is to not stress too much, as stress can only make it worse. Take it one step at a time, and dont get ahead of yourself, or try and self diagnose - that's also where it all goes wrong. The internet is great with information, but you only read what you want to, and you tend to look at mostly negative info - this is what I did, and managed to freak myself out completely! I have stopped looking at info - my husband does that - I just discuss things with my doc...
Take care and let us know what happens....0
