Just whining

I had my yearly physical today heart, kidneys, liver, lungs, prostate, thyroid, blood pressure chorestrol, etc all good or better than good. Still NED from the colon cancer. Then the doc looks at my face and says that little red pin prick on your face is likely Basal cell carcinoma. So I get to see another doctor with a laser to remove it. I know Basal cell almost never spreads and its no big deal (caught early) I was just looking forward to March ( maybe more months) where there were no doctors, tests, or treatments for a while. Sorry about the whining many here have been through much worst than I.

Hey,
You're not whining, just saying what a lot of people feel, burn out. That is why this forum is sooooo good, we can vent and other people actually listen and care because they have been there done that. You have helped a lot on this site, including me, because I see your replies and they are kind and compassionate. My husband had a basal cell and the dr just snipped it off and he was on his way. But I know what you mean about the tests, doctor appts. Glad everything was good on the routine stuff.

I'm still early in the treatment of my cancer. This week I have doctors and/or nurse appts. 4 out of the 5 days this week. Fortunately I'm a stay at home Mom. On the other hand, this means taking care of a 5 and 7 year old while dealing with all the medical appts. Thank heavens for Grandma and Grandpa who live 10 minutes away. Uh-oh, now I'm the one whining! Seriously though, you are not alone. Whine away. It is your right as a cancer survivor! Good luck on the removal and many prayers that your doctors appts. will slow down soon.0

As the others said, whine away!!! If you can't whine to "family" who can you whine too??? And I really believe that we are a family here and the support that you get here helps you through any tough times or "speed bump" as someone said. We are all behind you and know you will do well with this. By the way?? CONGRATS!!! on the NED.

Yep your right! basal cell rarely spreads. My husband had a large one removed from his back a couple years ago. I know what you mean about the doc thing. Just when you look forward to a break, but hang in there, you'll be just fine and congrats on the NED from the colon cancer . That's terrific . Keep us posted.
God Bless,
