I just read your article in the NY Times. You seem like such a strong person! I really hope all is going well for you.

My 34 year old sister/young mother (also in Seattle suburbs) was just diagnosed with Stage 3C last week and we're all in shock. They removed 12" of her colon, the tumor was 6.1cm and it went through the colon wall affecting 14 of 32 lymph nodes. She saw doctors off and on for the past couple of years due to lower pain; which they all related to menstrual cramps. SHE was the one who fought to get a colonoscopy, thank goodness.

Would it be OK if she e-mailed you or vice versa? E-mail me at work at mstrom@fisherradio.com if this is OK.

Thank you and hugs, Michelle
