LAST Week Friday Riddle / Teaser

Please forgive me, but I lost the answer to last week's riddle. I have looked and looked and I can't find it. I am so sorry, but the only think I remember is it had to do something with the wind blowing :(

    Before the wind blew, there were two pears in the tree. The wind came along and blew one pear down. Then there was one pear in the tree (but no pearS in the tree), and there was one pear on the ground (but no pearS on the ground).

    I arrived at this answer by Google rather than by thought.
