Out of options?

Dad's doctor said we are running out of options. He is recycling his chemo and according to the doctor he has been on all the available treatments and still his CEA continues to be high. They called us last week and said the Pet scan showed improvement and now the doctor says it was a mixed response. Any suggestions?
