Hello! I just had a Total Thyroidectomy done 6 days ago, and 2 days ago I got confirmation that there were many tumors of different sizes (some were too small to catch them in the ultrasound) on both sides of the thyroid. They told me they were all Follicular Variant of Papillary cancer. They are recommending RAI and I've been reading about it and it makes me nervous. Is there any other treatment as an option? Any suggestions? THANKS!
