Neuroendocrine Carcinoma

I had a tumor removed from my liver and it was diagnosed as NEC. They aren't sure if it's the primary but I had tumor markers done recently and all my levels were normal. Have any of you had markers done and levels were normal but more tumors were found? I'm asking because less than 1% of NEC tumors originate in the liver and that is where mine was, so I'm worried there might be something somewhere else that isn't excreting any horomones.
