I know the waiting is hard. We have such a roller-coaster ride of emotions. We don't look forward to treatments, but when they tell us treatments have to be delayed we are disappointed. But, as mentioned in your earlier topic, this 'rest' will give your body a chance to recover and make it stronger to deal with the remaining treaments, to kill this disease once and for all!
So, hang in there, and thank you for keeping us informed.
Luv, hugs, AND prayers,

Hi Eleen, I believe the drugs are working hard to get rid of the cancer cells and as we know it takes time for our body to recover. You are in very good hands at the research institute. Keep up the good work and visualise what you plan to do when youre in remission. Good luck and you are in my prayers. Irene0

It's especially hard to deal with low platelets because we sure don't want to die from bleeding from a minor wound...and we need the stuff of platelets to plug the wounds.
I'm getting a fraction of the gemzar dose, just to keep the platelets in the normal range. It may be enough, here's praying so.
Will be praying for you too, girl. Hang in there and rest a lot if you can.
Peace and Love,

I really hate the wait and see game!!! It's so nerve racking...is there a shot or something that can help increase the platelets?? Hange in there I know how tough it is..but just remember each day away is another day to get your body prepared and hopefully feel good....They put me on a 10 week vacation, and I had a ca-125 at that time and it's elevated from14 to 38.8....they won't do anything about it because they said my body needs the rest@!!! Hope all works out for you soon...(((hugz)))..Joanne0
