hello, does anyone know how cat allergies can affect someone with lung cancer? My cats and I are moving with my parents to help my dad who is diagnosed with lung cancer. I'm worried it may further impact my dad's health. Does anyone know if this is an issue? I'm not sure if he is allergic or not but prefer to not expose him to them if it's going to be bad for his overall health and well-being. Please advise.

    Hello,

You may want to contact the American Cancer Society's National Cancer Information Center. Cancer Information Specialists are available 24 hours a day and can assist you with your questions. They can be reached at 1-800-227-2345.

I wish you father the best on his treatment.

    Take care and be well,

Anything that makes me cough I try hard to avoid since I was diagnosed with lung cancer. That means perfumes, smoke, dust, sick kids (especially ones with drippy noses) and stuff like that. I don't have a problem with cats and their fur, but then I didn't have a problem with cat allergies before LC. But strong smells like house cleaners, mild colds, dust and smoke can make me cough for quite a while. Have you asked him if cats bother him?
