Never, Never Give Up...

Many of you will be familiar with the story of Terry Fox, the one-legged young man who set out to run across Canada to raise money for cancer research in 1980. He suffered a recurrence half way through his run and died about a year later. But his dream and legacy live on. To date over $400 million have been raised for cancer research through the "Terry Fox Run".
What you may not know is that in 1981 Rod Stewart and Bernie Taupin wrote a song as a tribute to Terry's "Marathon of Hope". It's called "Never Give Up on a Dream." (I thought you might like the theme Bruce!) You may also not know that today, July 28th, is Terry's birthday. He would have been 49 today had he lived.
I've posted a short piece on Terry's life and an inspirational video clip showing images of his "Marathon of Hope" to the music of Rod Stewart's "Never Give Up..."

And have a great weekend! Rob
