My father has just had a dramatic increase to his psa score, I am wondering what numbers refelct the highest end of the psa scale. Is it 400, 800, 1,000, 5,000?

My brother's PSA went as high as 1700+...but I don't really know the answer to your question. Dana's referal to the Cancer Society is a good one...they were very helpful answering my many questions in my recent battle with PC. My Doctor was concerned when my PSA jumped by a number greater than 20% in one year.. 2.2 to 5+ was enough to have more testing and a biopsy ordered.
    Wishing your father the best.

Hopefully you know that a normal PSA is between 0 and 4. Anything above 4 should be checked out by a urologist.
Please ensure your dad gets to a doctor.
Keep us posted on his progress.
