Hi - I started the very new drug Tykerb almost 2 months ago. It is a stronger from of Heceptin and is designed to be taken with Xeloda (both used for Mets). I have recently begun to itch and itch ...my arms and legs ... and I have had a couple bumps here and there that look like bug bites. Is anyone taking Tykerb? Do you have any side effects or weird things happening? Best wished to all survivors and care givers!! Jamie

Hi Jamie, I found this information. Hope it is helpful. Looks like itching is a possible side effect of both drugs. Let your onc know. Good Luck.

Jamie, My sister has been prescribed tykerb with Xeloda, but she is too afraid to take it. I would love to hear from anyone that has taken the drugs, and lived to tell about it, to help calm her fears.
