HAS ANYONE HAD LEG MUSCLE CRAMPING TAKING FEMARA ?

I have been on Femara since March, and I am noticing that when I walk my calf muscles cramp pretty badly. They stop when I sit down. I do have claudication in my legs, but it has not been a problem. I am going to onc this month and will discuss this issue. I think I want a doppler test done again. Has anyone else ever had this problem with the Aromatese drugs? Specifically Femara, but I would appreciate any response re any of the drugs.

I haven't had muscle cramps but I did have problems with my joints and swelling in my feet and legs. I found that Arominsen was the best of the three Aromatese drugs. Femara was the worst for me. Try to get your Onc to let you try the three different drugs. The side effects are different with each person... but for me Femara was by far the worst.
Take Care... God Bless...

I'm on Femara and I've had every side effect there is. Cramps, joints and bones hurt to the point I can barely get around. I stopped taking it about 3 weeks ago and i feel better, but still ache. My onc said I had to take that or Armidex. Arimidex did the same thing to me. I'll ask next time I see if there is something else. Otherwise, I may go med-free and take my chances. I love all the good attitudes I'm seeing from everyone. I'm trying to improve mine. I was great during chemo and mastectomy, but I hate the meds. Plus, my implants aren't working out so now I'm having a tram flap at end of the month. I know things will get better. I'm also in menopause and that certainly affects my attitude!
