Hi all, Can anyone tell me if it's o.k. to be exposed to sun when on Gemzar plus Carboplatin treatments? I would like to take my Mom to the beach but don't know if this could cause any allergic reaction. Tks LIZ

Lizper, A trip to the beach sounds so nice..but I would call her Onc or his nurse and ask the question. While I'm on chemo I can't tolerate the heat without getting sick to my stomach..but thats just me..have a good time if it turns out you can go...Joanne

Hats and sunblock will do the trick. Enjoy the day! Bonnie
