Update

Yesterday was the appointment at the U.I am going back to one of the very first chemos I had Carboplatin, yes my CA125 went up. Darn huh? My first dose will be on June 1 and it will be given while in the hospital to make sure I don't have allergic reactions to it again. They desensitize you first with lots of steriods (oh fun) and benedryl then give it to you very slowly during the day and keep you overnight to make sure you're okay. If it works I will do this every three weeks. I felt good about it yesterday - but once sleep came it let a few worries in - so am just a wee bit anxious, but still ready to give it a go. :-)
Have a safe wonderful Memorial weekend.

thank you for the positive slant on the benedryl, I hope it counteracts the steriods enough. I get crazy from the steroids. Most of all thank you MM and groundeffect for your support.Keelie said:Bonnie,Sorry the news wasn't what we were all hoping for, but just maybe this second use of Carbo will work!!!!! Stay positive, it helps!!! Much love to you, MichaelaMarie

I willl pray during the time I am getting my carbo/taxol on the 31st just for you. I get steriods and benedryl before each of mine and I like the relaxed zone it puts me in. I am allergic to the IV dye for cat scans so I get it then too followed by more steroids. Helps my appetite so I don't mind. "He strengthens those who are weak and tired." Isaiah 40:29

Bless your heart Bonnie, oh I pray this does it and ya know carboplatin is the best, if I did not have the neuropathy I would love to use that again. There is just something about being on the third chemo and because you don't lose your hair or have other side effects with your blood and everything it makes me wonder if it is doing anything....but I know the answer and that is God, he is in control of this.
Once again you are in my prayers!
Love and Hugs, Jan
