I am scheduled to have a double lumen port. Anyone have experience with 2 versus 1? Any problems or suggestions?

Hi: I'm sorry, I know absolutely nothing about double ports, but I am curious as to why they are suggesting one. It sounds like a good idea for people whose veins are shot. Monica

I don't know much about them but would expect the procedure would be the same as for the single lumen port. The portal for it may be just a little largeror double-headed.
