I don't post often, but read daily. Everyone in my thoughts and prayers. Brief history, dx Apr 05 with Stage III colon cancer, 2/27 lymph nodes positive. Emergency surgery to remove large colon and immediately reconnected. Followed by 6 months 5FU & leucovorin. So far, complete test workups every 6 months and on April 2/07 received my 2 year NED. Oh happy days and more naked dancing. There really is hope out there, and as each day goes by more promising treatments. Please keep the good fight and don't give in to the beast. Best wishes to all. Shoda

Congratulations Shoda. You know it was a little over 3 years ago that I was as scared as all hell. The guys n gals here supported me all the way and I like many others always asked the question..."how long will it take" to meet NED or feel normal(reasonably...lol!)again.jerseysue said:Congrats to you and keep that NED coming!
I am now just over 3 years NED and it only seems like yesterday that I asked that very same question.
It does not matter that you don't post often Shoda. What matters is that you are able to read posts and know that the support is here if you need it...that is the greatest gift to us all. So posts like yours are an incredible uplift for everyone....especially those who are still battling. Especially to our newbies here. Ned posts give everyone the power to go on fighting...why?....because we all BELIEVE that the beast can be beaten. And the beast DOES get beaten!
