Well ladies I'm off to chemo..maybe...it all depends on if my wbc's went up or not!!! They also did a ca-125..I am so interested in seeing that number after 3 tx. Say some prayers please that I can stay on course and receive my chemo as scheduled. (((hugz)))..Joanne

    it would have seemed so strange just four months ago for me to have wished for someone to have a chemo treatment but i understand now. i will be praying that you can stay on your treatments and that your cat125 is good news

    I think you are going to see those numbers(the ca125) plummet. You will do great. Keeping you in my prayers. My prayers are getting longer and longer as time goes by. But they help. Take care

    Thank you for those prayers and good thoughts...because they worked!!!! My wbc was on the high side and my ca-125 went down 25 points to 51.8!!!! I'm sooo happy..smiles and (((hugz)))..to all of you...Joanne

    What meds are you on? I'm on taxotere,carboplatin and avastin. One more treatment and then a 3-4 month break.Last ca125 was 38. Hoping it goes down again next wednesday. A little scared about the break tho seems like I'm losing my safety net.

    I'm on Gemzar only. 1 tx 1 time per week for 3 weeks then I'm off for one week. I know how scary it can become when you come off chemo..I felt the same way, I felt like I should be doing something to prevent a recurrence. My onc explained to me that the body needs to come off of chemo and get healthy and strong again. Plus you don't want to use up your chemo choices to fight a disease that is not needing tx. Hope fully you ca-125 will go down below 35 where it should be. My Onc said I will be on this chemo until my ca-125 goes into the normal range, plus 3 more cycles after that. Good luck to you...is this your first time around or a recurrence that your fighting??? (((hugz)))..Joanne

    This is my first go around.Hoping my 125 will go below 38 next week then one more treatment.You all have been very helpful to me. Thanks,Liz
