I'm sorry you're going through such anxiety. I wish I had an answer for you as to what it could be, but I'm pretty much in the same boat. I've had the right side, below the rib pain for some time and all my tests came back okay. So now I have to wait till I see my doctor at the end of this month to elaborate the situation with him and see what he says. I will definitely ask about what you mentioned (ultrasound of her vesicula) to see what he thinks. In the meantime, hang in there. My prayers go out to you. My daughter is getting married in April so I'm also a little anxious to be sure everything is okay.
Hugs and prayers,

Thankfully, your Mom found relief from a pain pill for now...you should too. Take it from someone in pain and now existing on time-released pain meds, lots of relaxation techniques, weekly chemo, high ca125 numbers, lot's of doubt and uncertainty, the relief of pain is #1 in my consciousness. When the results come in from the ct, you'll have more to think about and you will deal with that too. I honestly urge you to shift your focus to having a healthy, wonderful birthing experience. Your Mom actually needs that from you more than anything else, whether she sez so or not. If there are any wellness groups in the area you live, support groups are a fantastic place to go through these week to week changes and all the emotional ups and downs that she will have in common. I use this board to see that others are going through almost identical issues to my own, and find that, yes, I can deal with this, I'm not alone.
Best for everyone if you opt out of this tension level and bask in the joy of creating this new life....no guilt in doing that, it's a baby that needs you now...and there really is no other person that can provide what that babe needs.
My first grandbaby was born 6 mos. ago. He is the light of my life now, with my son, of course. There is so much love there, it is the physical manifestation of love and joy. This gift you will give to your Mama, soon. She will live longer and stronger with this new grandbaby to love.0 -

What tests did you get for this pain. The Dr. said to get the ultrasound of the vesicula beacuse in case something is wrong there then the the liver could be swollen causing jaundance. That was because I told him I thought I saw her a little yellowish. I hope this helps..if you get an idea from your Dr. please let me know. Hugs. Also, lizper, are there Hospice Vounteer Services in your town? These is not the medical branch that we usually associate with Hospice, but a trained group of volunteers who will come in and provide some services to give the family time out. This can be light housekeeping or rides to the doctor or just hanging out while the caregiver gets a break. I go to the wellness support group at Hospice, once a week, and now will be able to ask volunteer services for a ride to get there because I've had to stop driving for awhile, due to pain meds. Hope this helps. Perhaps there are other services in your area like this one, so you can bring some focus back to you and the baby. Deep breaths, all the best of good energy sending your way.0

I had the CT, which was actually my usual OVCA follow-up. But the technicians and the doctors always tell me they see EVERYTHING. However, when I had this pain a few years back I had an ultrasound for the gall bladder. When I complained again about 6 months ago I had a HIDA scan which is also for the gall bladder. My doctor always checks my upper and lower abdomen, and never suggested anything for the liver. That's why when I asked for a complete blood test I had the liver enzymes checked. It didn't seem to be a problem. I was also looking at my eyes for yellowing - nothing there. So, again, when I see him this month I will ask about the liver.lizper said:What tests did you get for this pain. I will also mention to you that my mother-in-law had gall stones some years ago. It was so bad that it blocked the duct to the liver and she was really yellow. So, I'm offering some hope that maybe your mom's situation is a gall bladder problem also, and not the liver, and can be taken care of.
Praying, hoping and hugging!

Lizper,
I'm so sorry to hear that your mom is in so much pain. I also have something going on there, and through all the ultrasounds,ct scans and another test I can't remember..I tested excellent, however, my last scan showed that what ever is in there it is progressive and becoming largeer. WhenI asked my onc. about that he said that even with all the neg. results on my tests, there could still be something there, that is being missed. So go figure???? Right now please try not to worry too much for the sake of the baby....it could be gall stones. Concentrate on the good results that your Mom has had so far..she has clear ct scans and low ca-125!! I agree with Paula...you having an easy pregnancy and the birth of that baby mean more to her than anything right now...it's a new and beautiful life that you are giving her. I'm sending prayers to you and your Mom...I know that what I'm saying is very hard to do, especially when it's your Mom...but try...((((hugz))))..Joanne0 -
Hello lizper. My Mom had the below the right rib pain for about two weeks in the fall of this past year. A heating pad and meds did nothing to take the pain away. We went to her doctor and he did a CT scan. Nothing there except for some back up in her intestines. Mom had a colostomy that had a tendency to move slow at times. We "unclogged" it and no more pain. I too thought it might be a liver problem and watched for yellow eyes and all, but her liver checked out okay. Her gallbladder had been removed years ago. Just another thought on how we always focus on one problem and it could be something else. I hope your Mom has just a simple problem like my Mom had. Hope you find time to relax a little before the baby comes. Cindy0

Joanne I'm so sorry to hear you are going through this again. It's so hard to understand that things don't come out o.k. in one test. My Mom is very depressed and frustrated she thought all was ok then something new comes up. We an ultrasound tommorrow. I will be praying for you too. Big hug Liz.floridajo said:Lizper,

Thanks for your advice, the thing is we live in Mexico and things are different here. There are not communities of people with cancer, only in the big private hospitals which are far from were we live. Lizpaula2 said:Also, lizper, are there Hospice Vounteer Services in your town?
