Jan, It's just 7:17 AM here on the west coast, and I'm already feeling anxious with you. I know that all of us are praying for you and hoping that you will get good news! These waiting times are just the worst! I'll be checking the board periodically today for your post after you hear from your doctor. We are all here for you.....with hugs and love, MichaelaMarie

Thank you all so much, I do not know anything yet, my mother-n-law could not get the report today so my husband will go in the morning.they said they would fax it to my doctor in the morning. I usually know before my doctor does, because of my mother-n-law, I'm not really sure if that is good or not. I just want it over, I'm really ok, well no I am very anxious and I know I'm not supposed to be, but I just want to know.
You all are precious to me!
God bless you and love, Jan -

Well still waiting... My mother-n-law got my report from the hospital today and I have read it but I called my doctor and he hasn't received the report yet so I cant say anything to him, and what I read on the report I really dont know what it means. I have looked up so many words(bilateral Pleural effusion, faint nodule 6mm x 3mm,nodule density 5-6 mm) on line today and still don't know anything. So hopefully my doctor will let me know something tomorrow.BonnieR said:Jan, we are all here holding your hand and anxiously waiting with you. We all know how waiting is really hard. thanks for all your prayers and I will let you know as soon as I know. Hugs to all, Jan -
Hello Jan. Wow, you have an interesting situation. You have the report, but your doctor doesn't. Don't they have a fax machine around there? I wish I knew if doctors as a group understand fully what "every hour" feels like when you are waiting on information about your life that is critical. The waiting is just plain terrifying and nerve wracking! My oncologist has said that he trys to make the very first words out of his mouth, when he walks into the room, the latest number. After being told that, and then the next time he came in and didn't say anything, I just knew it was not good news. That was the time he told me the Gemzar wasn't working, and that there wasn't much else to do. Anyway, I now ALWAYS call the nurse for the number first. I can no longer handle waiting in his office for him to come in and tell me. I sure wish you didn't have to wait until tomorrow to talk to him. By the way, this may sound like a stupid question, but what does pleural effusion feel like? Sometimes I have to cough, or am short of breath, like I'm getting an extra heart beat or something. Just wondering. I keep thinking it is anxiety that I am having. Please let us know just as soon as you hear. On this board, we all really care about each other, and are there for you. Lots of hugs, MichaelaMarie aka Keelie.JanQ said:Well still waiting...
