ca-125
I had a draw for ca-125 on Thurs. I'm praying that it has stayed the same or went down. I am going to get the results before my Onc calls me...I know I shouldn't but if I know in advance it give me a chance to digest the news and ask the appropriate questions. Instead of being shell-shocked does anyone know what I mean????? I'm wishing all the ladies here a beautiful pain free day..smile and (((hugz))) Joanne PS I'm in sunny Florida where the present temp is 22..."what's up with that"!!!!!

hi floridajo, did you get your tests? I always get my Mom's test before seeing the Onc.. I understand what you say. I also think one must be prepared for the good and the bad, Tell me something..when you say your ca-125 goes up do you also count increases like from 10 to 16 or do you mean increases passing the normal interval. Because my Mom's Onc says that as long as it's in the normal interval were ok but it worries me when I see a number then the next time it's higher and so. What do you think?0

I hope your CA125 will be so low that you won't need any questions!
I live in northern PA, and am working at shoveling off more than 3' of snow off our deck, and it's snowing and 19 degrees as I'm doing it. Same old, same old here-but I have all the gear to deal with it!0 -
Thank you " groundeffect, mopar,JanQ and Lizper" for all that positive thought and prayers...my ca-125 went down a wee bit!!!! It's now 59.8. It's not a huge drop but it's going in the right direction. My gyn/onc might do a paracentisis of the fluid that was in my belly the last two ct scans. I feel good except for fatique. I would like the parancentisis done, because if that shows ovca cells then I think I should start tx...what do you guys think???? Again thanx so much for all the love...smiles and (((hugz)))..Joanne0

Oh I am so glad it is going down, even alittle. I would want to know what the fluid was and if it is ov. I would start treatment. That is easy for me to say, I am on a break right now unless this pleural effusion hampers that, I go for a chest x-ray in the morning and another cat scan of my chest, but I am really feeling good so I really don't want to do chemo now. When do you think they will do the parancentisis? You're in my prayers. We gotta fight this thing.floridajo said:Thank you " groundeffect, mopar,JanQ and Lizper" for all that positive thought and prayers...my ca-125 went down a wee bit!!!! It's now 59.8. Thanks for the good thoughts and prayers. I have now been shceduled for another Ct scan to see if the fluid still remains, and if so then they'll schedule the parancentsis. I'm positive right now and feel 1000% stronger than my intial surgeries and 12 chemos. i'm ready if need be I've enjoyed 13 months without chemo. Good luck with you chest x-rays..I'll be sending positive thoughts and ton's of prayers to you....Smiles and ((((hugz)))...Joanne0
