I had fluid retention for several months after treatment. Please get your doctor to do a Echocardiagram to make sure that you don't have a problem with your heart. Since I took Herceptin as well (HER 2+) it cause problems with my heart. cytoxin can also cause problems. I stayed on a diuretic for a number of months and with time my heart recovered back to normal. But fluid retention can be a drag. Let me know if I can give you any more info.

    Take Care... God Bless..

A friend of mine had Taxotere and had awful swelling for months (I had Taxol). She also had a cough from all the fluid retention. The doctor did not put her on anything for it as he said it would spontaneously resolve - which it did. She found that exercise really helped.

    Best of luck.

    Hugs.
