Best place for treatment

My father, age 77, has just been diagnosed with Stage III esophogheal cancer and is undergoing chemo and radiation. We've been told that surgery is his best chance for survival, but we'd like to 1) get another opinion and don't know who to go to 2) find out what the best place would be for the surgery and 3) see if minimally invasive surgery is available within a hundred miles or so (we live in Conn.). We would love to get your advice.
