Definitely doing the NAKED HAPPY DANCE!!!! For the good news and for the fact that I am finally getting back into shape! Chemo destroyed my metabolism and I gained weight, which made my Onc. extremely happy. I, on the other hand, was not so pleased not to be able to fit into my size 6 jeans anymore. My Onc. told me not to expect any wieght loss for at least the first year out of chemo. Well, he was right! It is now a year later and I have lost 25 Lbs. in the past 2 1/2 months. I walk 3 miles every day without fail. And it is paying off. I can now get back into my jeans, but they are still a little tight. More work to do...and glad to do it!!!!KathiM said:YEA YEA YEA YEA YEA YEA YEA!!!!
NAKED HAPPY DANCE!!!!!!!!
Hugs, Kathi -
Yup, know the feeling. My cancer treatment center offered a program-free of charge-for breast cancer survivors (my OTHER cancer...hehehehe) at a local upscale gym. It involves personal trainers, nutrition guidance...the WORKS!!! I am already seeing the difference...and this is geared to us that have 'limitations' on our 'special arm'.....specialwingz said:Definitely doing the NAKED HAPPY DANCE!!!!
