GONADAL BLOOD CLOT

Anyone have experience with this? I was informed the other day that I have a blood clot in the vein that used to supply the ovary. It was clamped off in a surgery I had 6 1/2 years ago when I had a total hysterectomy. The doctor is puzzled as to why it has occurred at this point in time, as it is more likely to occur shortly after the surgery. There is nothing in my blood work that indicates I am susceptible to blood clots. I've been advised to take an aspirin a day (no problem), and I will have a follow-up CT scan (in conjunction with my normal OVCA follow-up CT) in October.

I'm familiar with the usual risks of blood clots, but wonder if anyone has experience with this specific location.

Thank you!
