Anyone used a port for the quemo?

My husband get his infusions through a port. Definitely the best way to go, not only can you get your chemo, they can draw blood and sometimes use it for the CT contrast (not for a PET/CT though) Getting it was relatively quick, in and out of surgery in less than an hour, a little redness for a few days and then all was well. I see patients at the infusion center without ports suffering with vein pain and the IV is always getting clogged, with the it's smooth sailing.
Go for it, you'll be glad you did
