Howdy to all my awesome Semi-colons!!!
My computer is kaput and I am at a friend's house using hers for a second. It's late and I have to go home, but I just HAD to write you all to tell you why I have been incommunicado for so long.
My son is coming home this weekend and hopefully will fix my Mac so I can be up and running again.
I even had Arthur try to send you guys some emails on here but his computer at work is having problems too. DANG!
I miss you all and I don't have time to read all the posts so just know I am thinking of you all and praying for you daily.
Scouty! Thanks for the phone call. Sorry I missed it! :-(
Bud, I miss you something fierce dog gone it. Wasn't Floyd a sight to behold?? WOW!
Barb, I'll be back soon honey! I've been writing down every friggin calorie and walking/running 5.2 miles a day (and riding the ex bike at night) and it's FINALLY working! 20 more to go! :-)
I am well just in case you were wondering. My FIVE YEAR is just around the corner -- August 6! WOOHOO!!
I was out biking with my Chicks on Bikes tonight. In July I ran my second annual 5K and beat my goal time. Not bad for an 44 yr old chick who is not a runner by design (I have biker thighs). I have just spent the past three weeks watching the Tour and riding my ex bike while I watch. And I have read about three books this month. Five pounds no longer grace my bod. See what happens when you can't spend hours on your computer??? haha
I look forward to catching up with all the news around here when my Mac is up and running again. But I have to say, I have had a great summer vacation.....sitting in my porch swing, visiting with friends, running my sled dogs early in the morning before the heat of the day, sunning on the beach on the shores of Lake Superior, drumming with the band, biking with my Chicks.
Life is Good!
Well, gotta go home now.

peace, emily who is gonna celebrate her FIVE YEARS big time!!!

Hi Emily,
I am glad to know that you are well and doing fine!
There are some interesting postings here about pro and con of chemotherapy. I was promoting your methods.
Congratulations on 5 years!
Best wishes and God Bless!

Great to read your posts and that it has been almost 5 yrs. I have started chemo, Stage 2 rectal cancer but they all say I could actually have been Stage 3 as I had chemoradiation prior to the first surgery. Alson due to the fact that it was in the lower 5 cm of the rectum and I did have a recurrance. I have been reading Beating Cancer with Nutrition and some of the posts from you and scouty and am determined to make some changes but am also doing FolfoxAvastin. Who is your oncologist at Mayo? I live in the Twin Cities and have been thinking of going there to get another opinion. I have gotten several here and was presented to a tumor conference and the recommendation was for the chemo.
Thanks and keep NED forever.
