Hurry up and wait

Chris goes in for a biopsy today to try to determine the origin of the cancer, PET scan is tomorrow and game day visit to the oncologist on Monday (makes for a fun weekend). The neurological damage is worsening and he's in a lot of pain. Apparently the tumor is blocking one kidney so he only has one that's functioning as well.
Emily - You didn't let me down girl, thanks for your post I was already thinking about nutrition and trying a more naturalistic approach when I saw your referral for Beating Cancer With Nutrition in another post, so I ordered it along with a few others. Thanks
This is all so surreal, I'm a bit numb right now and I'm very frightened about what's to come. It's also a sad ending to a relationship that I've had for the last 6 months with a really wonderful man. I spose that if it's meant to be we can pick it up again later down the road. I miss him though.
Thanks everyone for your kind words and prayers, it's a lonely road ahead, I'm grateful for the support of this group.

Misha -
Like you said, if it's meant to be, it's meant to be. Everything happens for a reason. If he's there for you at the end of this, you'll know he'll be there for you during anything. Set the example for your daughter right now. Take care of her and don't forget to take care of yourself, too!
peace.

His stepmom is with him now for his PET and his sister has been with him for a few days. She's great but she lives near the Canadian border, probably 60 miles from here. Once I get him moved in with me I'll probably work out some type of schedule with his stepmom so I can get some relief a few times a week.KathiM said:Oh, Misha...I'm hugging you soooo hard! But, you are not alone with us here. And, you never know what's around the next corner..
Does Chris have any family that could get involved?
Hugs, Kathi
I was deeply conflicted before coming to the decision to care for Chris but I'm at peace with it now knowing that it's the right thing for all of us.
I just spoke to him, he's going into his PET in a few minutes, he's very frightened. Differences or no, I'm his wife and I know how to take care of him, we need each other.
Thanks Kathi0
